If you need help when we are closed

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111.

NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

Parking

Though small, the surgery car park has enough spaces (5 to 6) to accommodate the average number of patients who usually travel by car. Please always park considerately as blocking someone in causes inconvenience and can lead to conflict.

Patients, or their drivers, must also refrain from parking on the bend in the road, rather than entering the parking area, however briefly. Taxi drivers should drive in if space allows, and refrain from sounding their horns when collecting passengers from the Surgery.

Annoyance to nearby residents of Malzeard Road must be avoided at all costs.

It should be noted that the deep incline into the car park can cause vehicles to be stranded due to winter ice and snow; hence the barrier across the entrance is deployed when such conditions prevail or are expected.

Disability access

Disabled patients can easily access the practice. Entrances, including those to the lift, admit standard wheelchairs with room to spare and members of staff are on hand to assist the visually impaired, etc. Any disabled patient finding difficulty with the surgery’s facilities should report this to the practice manager or other member of staff.

Assistance dogs are allowed to accompany their companions.

Disabled parking – blue badge scheme

The blue badge scheme is for people with severe mobility problems. It allows blue badge holders to park close to where they need to go.

Loop system

We have a loop induction system at the reception desk to assist the hearing impaired.

Blind/partially sighted

If you or family members are blind or partially sighted we can give you a large print of our practice leaflet upon request. Please ask Reception for further information.

Guide dogs

Guide dogs are welcome at the surgery but we ask that you be aware of other patients and staff who may have an allergy or fear of dogs.
